Mictronics® integrated Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMS) vs Brushless DC Motor (BLDC)
Comparison of test parameters
Comparison of power consumption parameters:-
Conclusion:----
1.) The energy-saving efficiency of the Mictronics® integrated PMS motor is 22% to 29% higher than that of the “XX” BLDC motor at medium and high speeds. Therefore, when the "XX" BLDC motor is running at high speed, the power consumption is higher than that of the conventional AC motor. (AC motor in 600CFM machine, under Pa12 static pressure, speed 880 rpm, power consumption is about 110W)
2.) The current of “XX” increased by 125.25%, 117.76% and 98.8% at high, medium and low speed respectively.
3.) The power factor of the Mictronics® integrated PMS motor, whether high, medium or low speed, is maintained above 0.96, which meets the requirements of the national standard and the European Union. (Electrical appliances with a power factor of more than 25W are maintained at >0.85 or the above) .
4.) Mictronics® integrated PMS motor has a built-in automatic power factor adjuster. When the voltage changes from 180V to 265V, the internal voltage does not change, so the motor speed is stable and is not affected by the supply voltage change.
5.) The “XX” BLDC driver board does not have an automatic power factor adjuster, which is seriously affected by the voltage change of the mains, and the motor speed is unstable.
6.). Compared with the XX BLDC driver board, the Mictronics® integrated PMS motor makes wiring easier and more convenient.
7.). The Mictronics® integrated PMS motor can match the fan coil of 200 to 1400 CFM, and can be easily matched to different static pressure (Pa12 to Pa50) working environment through 3-speed micro modulation.
8.) The drive plate of “XX” BLDC motor has no rotational speed micro modulation and cannot be a motor, which can match different fans and different static pressures.

The structural comparison between the two: --
Permanent magnets: The advantages and disadvantages of ferrite and bonded NdFeB materials are as follows: --
1.) Ferrites are inexpensive,
2.) When the efficiency of the ferrite is low, it becomes weak when the output is required. Therefore, at medium and high speeds, the efficiency is low, and when it is operated at high speed, the power consumption is higher than that of the traditional AC motor.
3.) Ferrite will be obviously affected by temperature, and there will be obvious demagnetization phenomenon. After one or two years of use, the efficiency will decrease and the power consumption will increase gradually, so the motor needs to be replaced.
4.) Rare earth bonded NdFeB materials: The price is much higher, but the efficiency is high, and the temperature influence is less. Below 180 °C, the demagnetization can be neglected.
5.) The inner diameter of the micro-electric integrated motor is 15mm. The inner diameter of the “XX” brand motor is 12mm. The inner diameter of the bearing is large: the motor will be relatively stable at high speed, which will help the vibration and noise reduction of the running. .
6.) Since the inner diameter of the micro-electric integrated motor is 15mm, it can be adapted to different shaft diameters: -15mm, 14mm, 12.7mm (American motor) and universal 12mm shaft.
7.) The stator of the “XX” brand motor uses a plastic twisted steel sheet, which will lead to the temperature rise during operation and cannot be effectively guided to the chassis for heat dissipation. The stator of the Mictronics® integrated PMS motor is made of high-quality silicon steel sheet, thus maintaining a strong magnetic permeability and effectively guiding the heat towards the casing for heat dissipation.
8.) “XX” brand motor is not equipped with motor base, Mictronics® integrated PMS motor is equipped with standard 105mm base, and can also be replaced with 100mm or 95mm base (the old design of Carrier motor).

Conclusion:--
Mictronics® integrated PMS motor, in terms of energy saving, is structurally superior to the "XX" brand motor. Micro-electric integrated motor can be used for 80,000 hours, only need to replace the bearing, the life expectancy of the motor can be more than 15 years, but the "XX" brand motor has a short life expectancy, it is estimated that the bearing needs to be replaced in two years or so, and Power consumption will rise in the next year due to demagnetization. This motor is designed to meet the needs of the domestic parity market, and does not fully consider the actual environmental protection, product life and other needs to produce inferior products.
